The Position
As a Podiatrist at Hobart Podiatrists & Footwear, you won’t spend the entire day cutting toenails, their caseloads are diverse and span the full range of modern Podiatry practice, with higher-than-average musculo-skeletal clients. Apply all your varied skills and training to significantly contribute to the comfort and activity levels of their clients who value your role.
Hobart Podiatrists & Footwear is seeking TWO Podiatrists to join their team in either a part- or full-time capacity. These roles are based at their busy Hobart practice, located in a gorgeous, purpose-renovated, heritage building with up-to-date clinical resources and high-level administrative support. They also have a popular onsite footwear store, to make managing your clients foot conditions easier.
Senior Podiatrist
You will have excellent communication, diagnostic, clinical and biomechanical skills with a holistic and thorough approach to patient care. In addition to providing general and diabetic podiatry treatments for patients of all ages, you will provide treatment in the fields of paediatrics, pre/post orthopedic surgical care, rheumatology, nail surgery, sports medicine, and chronic pain management. The practice enjoys a high caseload of paediatric and adult musculoskeletal (MSK) patients, so expertise in biomechanics, orthotic and footwear prescription is essential. Dry needling and mobilisation skills would be an advantage.
The full time (or pro rata) base salary offered ranges from $90,000 to $110,000, plus superannuation, plus annual education allowance plus bonus payments.
Junior Podiatrist
You will be a confident junior or recent graduate who has a passion for learning and possesses excellent clinical and interpersonal skills. Your approach to consulting and treatment will be thorough to ensure positive outcomes for clients. You will receive mentoring and support from senior clinicians within a practice culture that places a strong emphasis on thorough treatment and helping clients maintain mobility and be pain-free, all while highlighting the importance and enjoyment of ongoing learning.
The salary offered ranges from $75,000 to $85,000, plus superannuation, plus education and future bonus payments on a full time (or pro rata part time) basis, with remuneration based on skills and experience.

Referrals are made from word-of-mouth recommendations, general practitioners, orthopaedic surgeons, rheumatologists, paediatricians, and physiotherapy colleagues.
Hobart Podiatrists & Footwear uses 3D scanning and external orthotic laboratories for custom orthoses. They also have an onsite orthotic lab that enables them to manufacture and modify devices and insoles. This includes on-the-spot customisation of medical-grade moulded orthotics as well as modifications to custom devices.
They stock broad range of appliances such as orthoses, braces, moon boots, and consumables to make managing diverse injuries easier. To complement their service, the practice has a well-stocked, onsite footwear store. This store offers Podiatrist-approved, comfort and orthotic friendly footwear from reputable brands including Ziera, Propet, Klouds, Xelero, Silver Lining, Dr Comfort, Vionic, and Revere. Hobart Podiatrists & Footwear also have close working relationships with local sports footwear stores.
