Tasmanian Family Medical is experiencing rapid growth and is seeking an experienced Registered Practice Nurse to join their team in a full-time role at Southside Family Medical (Burnie).
The Position

Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive and patient-centred care.
- Conduct patient assessments including triage.
- Provide expert nursing care, including wound management, vaccinations, health promotion, and chronic disease management.
- Ensure accurate documentation of patient records.
- Assist in the coordination of health programs, screenings, and immunizations.
- Support the implementation of best practice guidelines and quality improvement initiatives.
- Qualifications and Skills:
- Registered Nurse qualification with current AHPRA registration.
- Previous experience working in a general practice or primary care setting is highly desirable.
- Strong clinical skills, including the ability to perform assessments, manage acute and chronic conditions, and provide patient education.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with patients, colleagues, and healthcare professionals.
- Proficient in using medical software systems for documentation and record-keeping.

Tasmanian Family Medical, established in 2017, is a vibrant practice with a team of ten doctors, supported by dedicated practice management, practice nurses, and receptionists. The practice offers a comprehensive range of GP services, including immunisations and travel medicine.
