GP - City Medical Practice
City Medical Practice
Location: North West Tasmania
Occupation: General Practitioner
Title Description: GP
Position Type: Full Time
Moratorium Period: 7 Years
Do you have an interest in skin treatments? Full-time position for a VR General Practitioner in Tasmania's 3rd largest city. Relocation grant may apply for eligible candidates. This GP practice also offers the opportunity to follow your interest and work in their dedicated skin clinic.
City Medical Practice is seeking to recruit a full-time vocationally registered GP with no restrictions. A GP with an interest in skin medicine would be highly desirable as the practice also operates a collocated skin clinic.
The practice utilises the after-hours triage service of GP Assist to minimise out-of-hours calls. The GP will be required to participate in the after-hours roster as well as visit patients in the local aged care facilities. The practice offers a mixture of bulk and private billing.
Located over two sites, City Medical Practice is privately owned and operated. Its main practice and the skin clinic are located in the Burnie CBD and a branch practice is located in Upper Burnie, a small but busy shopping district five minutes from the CBD.
The main practice has thirteen consulting rooms, a treatment room, a procedure room and a sterilising room. Five GPs currently work across the practices assisted by 1.5 FTE nurses. A number of allied health professionals provide a visiting service to the practice, including regular diabetic and care plan clinics. The consulting hours are Monday to Friday from 8.30am to 7.30pm. The practice is fully computerised using Best Practice.
The Upper Burnie practice has three well equipped consulting rooms and a procedure/nurses’ room. One full-time GP currently works in the practice assisted by a part-time nurse and a receptionist. The consulting hours are Monday to Friday from 8.30am to 5.00pm. The practice is fully computerised and offers brand new medical equipment and furniture.
What's on offer?
The practice welcomes discussions with potential candidates. They are offering a competitive remuneration package based on percentage of earnings, plus a generous relocation grant, as well as four weeks’ paid accommodation and use of a vehicle upon arrival.
In conjunction with the practice, HR+ will organise a comprehensive orientation program on arrival.
