Psychology Plus is growing and is seeking a psychologist to join their team on a part time, full time, contractual or employee basis. The options are open! A relocation grant of up to $5,000 may also be available to the successful applicant.

The Position

Psychology Plus is seeking an enthusiastic psychologist for part time or full time contract work, employee positions maybe considered. The applicant will be expected to provide a high quality evidence based assessment, intervention and reports.

The practice is also seeking an educational and developmental psychologist interested in psycho-educational assessments for school aged children. There is scope for the person(s) to pursue different areas of specialisation including clinical and educational and developmental.

Essential Requirements:

  • • Registration with the Psychology Board of Australia, AHPRA.
  • • Professional indemnity insurance and personal income protection for contractors.
  • • ABN for contractors
  • • Eligibility for Medicare number
  • • Psychology Registrars will be considered

The Organisation

Psychology Plus is a well-established private practice offering therapy, clinical services as well as educational psychological services for the North West Coast based in Burnie.

They have a large referral base and are unable to meet the current demand for psychological services. Psychology Plus receive referrals from GPs, Workers Compensation, MAIB, Department of Health, DVA and private schools. They also have a sister company, Pain Solutions offering multi-disciplinary chronic pain assessment/treatment (psychology, physiotherapy, pain specialist) and there is an opportunity to work within this field for interested psychologists.

Psychology Plus provides an all-encompassing service to the successful applicant, including administration support, referrals, peer support and supervision if required.

They provide private services to their clients and the practice offers a comfortable, professional and flexible working environment with 5 psychologists practicing from the clinic.

This position may be eligible for a relocation grant of up to $5,000 and also may be eligible to apply for the Health Workforce Scholarship Program, both grants are managed by HR+
