An exciting opportunity exists for a full time psychologist to join a prominent multidisciplinary team in the stunning Huon Valley and HR+ has a $5000 relocation grant to help you make the move!

The Position

The Huon Medical Group are pleased to announce the opportunity for a full time (1.0 FTE) Registered Psychologist to join our multidisciplinary team which includes GPs, Practice Nurses, Social Worker and Clinical Pharmacist.

They have included a Registered Psychologist as part of their team for many years and are pleased to be able to provide this important mental health resource to the Huon Valley and Bruny Island communities.

While based at their Huonville practice, this role would suit anyone prepared to travel to their multiple practice locations in order to maximise client access to mental health services.

The successful applicant for this position will have demonstrated experience working as a Registered Psychologist and a strong commitment to providing best-practice, person focused care to all people.

This is a stimulating and challenging role supporting the mental health of the Huon Valley and Bruny Island communities. In this employed position, all of the admin and billing is taken care of, leaving you free to focus on utilising evidence-based therapies to support and engage with clients in a supportive and collegial environment.

Additionally, there are regular opportunities to engage with the broader practice team and scope to share your knowledge through teaching and mentoring.

The Organisation

The Huon Valley Health Centre is a teaching medical practice that values learning and seeks to overcome health inequalities by offering accessible, affordable and highly evidence based medical care to their community.

The team consists of a number of general practitioners, nurses and allied health professionals working across their 4 locations in Huonville, Bruny Island, Cygnet and their Mary Street Clinic.

This is for up to the value of $10,000 per year over 2 years to complete post graduate studies or other identified professional development.
