Feet SP Podiatry

Location: North West Tasmania       Occupation: Podiatry       Position Type: Full Time, Permanent

Is it time for a change in lifestyle? This could be your once in a lifetime chance! Feet SP Podiatry in Burnie are seeking a podiatrist to join their well-established team. Graduates are encouraged to apply and HR+ is offering a $5000 relocation grant to eligible applicants.

The Position

Due to the growth of Feet SP Podiatry they are seeking a full time permanent podiatrist to join their team. This is your chance to become a part of a longstanding, passionate team of experienced podiatrists and their priceless administrative support team.

Hit the ground running, or for the right graduate this team will provide you all the mentoring, supervision and range of patients that would set you up with everything you could want in your first year in private practice.

With their head office based in Burnie they also have satellite clinics in Wynyard, Somerset and Penguin, allowing you the opportunity to experience work in small communities and to work autonomously, while being based in a medical centre with other professionals.

Feet SP Podiatry treats a full range of patient types and clinical presentations encompassing all areas of podiatry including: routine palliative nail and skin care, diabetes foot care and assessment, biomechanical assessment and nail surgery.

Unique to this clinic is an orthotic manufacturing workshop, allowing the team to provide very personalised care to their orthotic patients.

The Organisation

With an impeccable reputation in Burnie and the greater North West this team is swimming in referrals and needs an equally passionate podiatrist to jump on board and deliver high quality podiatry services.

The Feet SP Podiatry practice is the longest established podiatry clinic on the North West Coast. Currently, there are 4 podiatrists each with extensive experience in all areas of podiatry. There is administrative support at all their satellite sites, including hicaps machines and NetPodiatry practice management software. So you can focus on what you are passionate about without any other worries.

All patient types are seen in the clinics, so there is a range of scope in the practice. Their aim is to improve the quality of life and outcomes for their patients.

The team are supportive of each other, each enjoys their lifestyle and values work/life balance. There are a number of health and sporting enthusiasts among the team so if that is your thing they could hook you up!

If staff meetings and red tape are something you dread then you won’t get that here. All staff have an open door policy, except when it comes to lunch time, then they close their practice to patients for one hour to ensure everyone gets a break. Being a close-knit team means discussions happen organically, usually at these lunch times. Oh and it is compulsory to celebrate a birthday with cake!

What's on offer?

HR+ is offering a $5000 relocation grant to eligible applicants to ease the financial burden of relocating.

Feet SP Podiatry offer flexibility of hours and can negotiate part-time hours if needed. Remuneration will be negotiated based on experience, but is generous. They value professional development and in conjunction with HR+ you can access up to $10,000 in Health Workforce Scholarship Program funding.

Their normal hours of work are Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm. There are no expectations of weekend work or evening work- they know people have lives outside of work and when living as somewhere as stunning as Tassie there is too much to see on the weekend to spend it working!

The life style is affordable and suits those interested in the outdoors, bushwalking and mountain biking, (world class tracks are being developed) there is a wealth of opportunities to explore. The iconic Cradle Mountain National park is only 1 hour 15 min drive from Burnie. The North-West coast of Tasmania also offers families a safe place to raise children with a number of school options and extracurricular activities on offer.
