The Position

This position is for a physiotherapist to join Physiotas to work full time in aged care physiotherapy or to look after a mix of private practice and on-site aged care, if that is your preference. The role is open to experienced physiotherapists or Physiotas run a comprehensive graduate program to support you if you are at the beginning of your career or on limited registration. This is a full time role but flexibility in hours will be considered for the right person.

This is your opportunity to be surrounded by a varied team of allied health professionals, with a broad range of interests and specialities so you can find your own niche in this team.

Also as the role is based in the North West Coast of Tasmania you can take your pick of places to live, the coastal city of Devonport, beachside in Ulverstone or if you prefer a little bit quirky then Penguin could be for you! But there are so many options and so much to explore including landmarks like Cradle Mountain, there are so many bushwalks, waterfalls, markets and foodie options that you will never be short of things to do.

The Organisation

Physiotas is the largest physiotherapy practice operating in Tasmania. Providing healthcare services in their local community for over 25 years, they now have 6 clinics across the north of Tasmania.

The practice also supports aged care facilities, local hospitals, workplaces and private health funds. Physiotas is also associated with organisations such as the Motor Accident Insurance Board, AFL Tasmania, Tennis Australia, the Tasmanian Institute of Sport and Basketball Tasmania.

Physiotas have a large but supportive team of physiotherapists, exercise physiologists, myotherapists and remedial masseurs who work together to make sure each staff member achieves their full potential and provides the best possible care for their patients.

They are known for their support of ongoing professional development for their staff and take pride in their extensive new graduate program in a private practice setting. They have regular in house professional development with the use of both internal and external presenters.

Physiotas cover all of your registration and insurance costs and contribute up to $600 a year for professional development on top of what they offer in house. There are monthly staff meetings, scheduled mentoring sessions and they don’t mind the odd social event!

HR+ are offering a $5000 relocation grant to eligible applicants that are relocating to the beautiful North West Coast of Tasmania. HR+ also have the Health Workforce Scholarship Program to allow you to access additional professional development, in addition to that offered by Physiotas.
