Due to the rapid growth of this unique business in Launceston, Engage Therapy is seeking an additional two occupational therapists to join this experienced multi-disciplinary team. This role offers a great salary, great perks and the opportunity to control the direction of your career.
If you are an experienced occupational therapist who would like to take charge of your career then you must consider this opportunity. To be considered you must have current AHPRA registration and a minimum of 3 years’ experience.
Engage Therapy is predominantly an NDIS provider in the North of Tasmania. They work with a broad range of paediatric conditions and adults with complex disabilities. The client base is large enough that you would have the option to manage your caseload based on your own skills or niche interests.
Full time hours are available, but the hours are flexible and you have the option to work from home as you will be provided with your own laptop and phone. This will also keep you connected when you are working out in the community.
Engage Therapy has their very own purpose-built facility with a recently completed additional tenancy within the complex. This has added a second large group space and 3 consult rooms. In the second space they have a brilliant ADL space with an accessible kitchen this has height adjustable surfaces and a gantry hoist system, one of the most modern spaces of this kind in Launceston.
Their current premises also has specialist gait training equipment including a Light Gait partial-weight-bearing device /treadmill, a wheelchair accessible Motormed, another gantry hoist system and they have a paediatric powered wheelchair on order for training children to become more independent. As well as individual consulting rooms, an accessible hygiene suite, two team spaces fully equipped with the latest technology and providing a space for team collaboration and administrative/ report writing.
Engage Therapy was established in Launceston in 2016 to deliver an integrated therapy service to clients from therapists with a passion for quality care.
The team has doubled in size since the beginning of 2019 due to a demand for their services and their wealth of knowledge and experience.
You will be joining therapy director and practice principal- Natasha Mackinnon, who is a paediatric physio herself, with over 15 years of experience. The allied health team also consists of an additional physiotherapist, 2 occupational therapists, 2 speech pathologists, a dietitian, 2 therapy assistants and they are all well supported by a skilled administrative team.
Engage Therapy also happens to be in one of Australia’s most liveable cities- Launceston. It is a vibrant hub for food, wine and culture. The Tamar Valley is famous for its vineyards, lavender plantations, strawberry farms and orchards. The wilderness is also just on your doorstep with the Cataract Gorge just minutes from the city centre and places like Cradle Mountain and other famous national parks just a short trip away.

As well as the great pay and team culture, management understand the importance of professional development so there is up to a $4000 available for you to spend on PD so you can access training that may not be offered in Tasmania.
The salary will be negotiated based on experience and will start between $80,000 to $105,000 + Superannuation, +$4000 PD allowance. This will be negotiable again after your probation period.
