Occupational Therapist - ELPE Health (North West Coast)

Due to the growth of this well-established business, ELPE Health are looking to expand their existing team and need the services of an occupational therapist. You have the opportunity to join this team of experienced clinicians, with the support of their existing OT, a guaranteed caseload and all the support of the business behind you, so that you can do what you do best!
Ideally you will have experience working with participants with a range of disabilities or have an interest to expand your career to assist people in our community living with a disability. The role may also require adult and paediatric OT assessment, mainstream referrals and the use of MBS and private health rebates.
ELPE Health will also consider new graduates (must be able to complete basic Activity of Daily Living Assessment (ADL's) for participant's with NDIS plan's).
The successful candidate will be well supported by our current OT (Mental Health Accredited, extensive knowledge in paediatric and behavioural therapies) and the rest of this multi-disciplinary team.
Essential qualifications, education, skills and/or experience:
• Current and full registration with AHPRA
• Working with vulnerable people registration
• Current National Police Check (Within 6 months)
• Have a Medicare Provider number (or be eligible and willing to obtain Medicare provider number)
• Excellent clinical skills
• An outstanding work ethic
• Demonstrate a high degree of autonomy, self-motivation and professional judgment
• Evidence of ongoing professional development
• Ability to relate and communicate with diverse population and groups
• Ability to build and maintain professional relationships
Desirable qualifications, education, skills and/or experience:
• Proficiency in Windows operating system
• Knowledge of My Practice, Practice Management Software
ELPE Health are a well-known Mental Health Service providing services along the north west coast with Clinicians in Ulverstone, Sheffield, Somerset, Wynyard, Smithton, Zeehan and Queenstown.
ELPE Health are a Registered NDIS Provider delivering support coordination, therapeutic support and community nursing care (Continence Aids Assessment).
The team consists of psychologists, accredited mental health social workers, occupational therapist, physiotherapist, support coordinators, registered nurses, administration and management team.
ELPE Health have a combination of employed and sub-contracted staff and clinicians.
Early in 2019 they commenced service provision into the northern region, and now provide support coordination.
Their aim is to continue to grow ELPE Health and expand services as required.
NDIS services are based at the Ulverstone office, however OT and Continence assessment are routinely completed in the participant’s home, some outreach locations are able to provide therapeutic session.
ELPE Health have extensive referral pathways built, majority or referrals are for participants with NDIS Plan’s that require up to date ADL’s, skill development and/or Assistive technology request (Equipment, Home Modifications etc), other referrals are received from Aged Care Package Providers for ADL’s, in home assessments, including equipment and home modifications (Ramps, rails etc) we also receive self-referrals.
