North West Therapy Services is seeking a highly motivated Occupational Therapist to join their dynamic and rapidly expanding private practice. Don’t delay as HR+ has a $5000 relocation grant available to eligible applicants who apply now!
The Position
The successful applicant will be employed on a casual or permanent basis (depending on the applicants’ preference) with flexible working hours up to 38 hours per week.
Duties of this position include assessment and intervention for all functional difficulties across domains of self-care, productivity, and leisure. This position will also be required to provide assessment and professional recommendation for complex equipment and wheelchair prescription.
This senior position is available due to the growth of this team so you will be joining seven other OT’s and a physio to work with a variety of caseloads.
The successful applicant must have completed a Bachelor of Applied Science (Occupational Therapy) or equivalent qualification and be registered with AHPRA. A current working with children/vulnerable people check and national police check will also be required. New graduates are encouraged to apply.
The Organisation
North West Therapy Services is located in Devonport on the North West coast of Tasmania. They provide a comprehensive Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy service to children and adults living on the North West Coast of Tasmania. They also provide outreach services to the remote west coast and King Island
Their recently refurbished premises consists of 3 therapy rooms and a commercial kitchen that they are able to use as a life skills room.
They also provide an exciting outreach service to the remote west coast of Tasmania and King Island. North West Therapy Services is a registered NDIS provider.
Professional development is an important part of their culture with weekly meetings and monthly in service programs.
What's on offer?
So in addition to all the benefits of joining this well established and experienced team of OT’s and physio with an existing caseload you may also be eligible for a $5000 relocation grant through HR+.
Remuneration will be based on experience, commencing at $45 per hour (plus superannuation).
Ongoing supervision will be provided and access to professional development supported. All staff receive $1500 per year for PD and paid professional development days so that they can access training. The successful applicant will also be eligible to apply for a Health Workforce Scholarship Program valued at up to $10,000 to complete post graduate training or attend conferences or workshops.
