This is an exciting opportunity to work on the North West Coast of Tasmania as part of a multidisciplinary team delivering evidence-based and innovative clinical mental health services to young people aged 12-25.

The Position

Cornerstone Youth Services (CYS) is currently seeking Mental Health Clinicians to work in their Youth Engagement Team (Extended) (YET Extended) program. The Mental Health Clinicians will work as part of the multidisciplinary team providing high quality clinical care for young people presenting with, or at risk of complex mental ill health. YET provides a clinical, holistic, therapeutic outreach service for young people and their families in Northern Tasmania.

Skills and Experience
• Approved tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology, Mental Health Nursing or Occupational Therapy.
• Current full registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (AHPRA) or eligibility for full membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).
• Demonstrated experience in mental health assessments, case formulation and therapeutic interventions
• A current Working With Vulnerable People check

The Organisation

CYS is a not for profit organisation that offers a broad range of services, including headspace, for young people aged 12-25 throughout North and North West Tasmania. All services are offered free of charge.

CYS provides high quality primary and clinical health services as well as information, advice and referrals for young people, their families and caregivers. CYS works across the youth mental health sector in developing innovative and responsive models of service provision and strives to excel in the delivery of services to young people. CYS also works in partnership with government and non-government organisations, services users and the community.

These positions are funded through to June 2022 and there is a requirement to be able to work out of hours.
