Wynyard Medical Centre has recently expanded their premises and introduced a vast variety of medical services including Allied Health. The practice has also restructured its nursing staff team and is now seeking a passionate, dedicated and committed registered nurse coordinator with great interpersonal, professional and management skills to join and lead their current team. The Position

Wynyard Medical Centre value their staff and are seeking an experienced senior registered practice nurse coordinator with great interpersonal, professional and management skills with innovative ideas to join and lead their existing team of nurses. The team already consists of two experienced senior registered and three experienced enrolled nurses. This position is for full time hours, but a part time role can be negotiated for the right applicant.

Working as an experienced senior registered practice nurse coordinator at Wynyard Medical Centre you will be expected, as a leader of the nursing team not only to undertake a range of nursing duties including, but not limited to: wound care, ECG’s, blood collection, assisting in minor surgical procedures, triage, health assessments, adult immunisations, employment medicals, care planning and chronic disease management. You must also be able to demonstrate excellent interpersonal, organisational, prioritisation skills as well as excellent supervising, communication, reporting, leadership and management skills with the ability to implement innovative ideas.

As they use medical software to document patient notes it is desirable that the successful candidate has sound computer skills.

Current Registration with AHPRA as a registered nurse is essential. Experience working in general practice within a leadership and management role will be highly regarded but training will be available to the successful applicant.

The practice is situated in the picturesque North West coastal township of Wynyard in Tasmania, (population 6000).

This is a purpose-built practice and all consulting rooms at the practice are fully equipped with the latest technology and equipment.
