Swansea General Practice is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join their busy practice in this scenic, close-knit community.
This position is an integral part of the Swansea General Practice and provides nursing support for one day per week, to the two busy general practitioners, alongside their enrolled nurse. In addition to nursing duties, the remaining hours will be allocated to administration/practice management. They are looking for a registered nurse with good communication and effective time management skills, the ability to work independently with little supervision as well as work effectively as a team member.
The registered nurse duties include: Blood specimen collection, wound care, spirometry, ECG’s, infection control, triage, ordering vaccines and consumables, cold chain management, patient recalls and reminders, monitoring patients and assisting doctors with treatment room duties and procedures.
The administration duties include: Reception and general administrative tasks. There is an opportunity for this role to evolve into a practice management role in the future - if so, support and training in this area will be provided.
To be successful you must have legal rights to work in Australia as sponsorship is not available with this position. You must also have a current AHPRA Registration and a CPR certificate.
This is a busy rural practice. This small team work well together and support one another to deliver a caring service to their community. The current staff members have worked together for a long time and are passionate about their work and their working environment. Not only will you get to work with this great team, but you will be working in Swansea, which is a pretty seaside village that looks over Great Oyster Bay to the spectacular granite peaks of Freycinet National Park. The town is surrounded by beautiful beaches and there are few towns in Tassie that enjoy such stunning scenery and are also quiet, friendly, and laid back.
