Lilydale Family Health Care is looking for another practice nurse to join their general practice in a beautiful close knit community. Come and be a part of this great team!
Lilydale Family Health Care requires a registered nurse, preferably with general practice experience.
The primary role of the practice nurse is to support the general practitioners. Duties include assisting with minor surgical procedures, immunisations, spirometry, ECGs, taking blood samples, ABIs, care plans, and some other duties. All duties may vary according to the current Coronavirus (COVID-19) Tasmanian State guidelines and recommendations. (eg. at present spirometry is not performed). The computer software at the practice is Best Practice and their paperless office embraces new technology and telehealth. Training will be provided to the right candidate.
Lilydale Family Health Care’s focus is to provide quality health services to Lilydale and the very large surrounding district.
Lilydale Family Health Care has a full-time GP and two part-time GPs. As demand for their services is increasing, 4 new consulting rooms are currently under construction and should be complete in July 2020.
Located just a 25-minute drive from Launceston, Lilydale is a beautiful rural town with a rich heritage and is increasingly known for its award winning vineyards, farm gates and the monthly Village Market.
What's on offer?
This position is permanent part time, sharing with the current nurse, who works on Fridays. An immediate start with between one and three days a week is envisaged. The working days will be the days when 2 of the GPs work concurrently. These days may vary from time to time, although regular days are forecast.
Support is provided by the current nurse and the two pharmacist owners who also manage some of the clinical needs of the practice. Lilydale Family Health Care encourages a work/life balance with all staff. Remuneration will be negotiated with the successful applicant.
