Tasmanian Family Medical is actively seeking a seasoned and dynamic leader for the role of Registered Nurse (In Charge) at their clinic in Burnie. This full-time position offers a unique opportunity to lead a dedicated team in delivering exceptional healthcare services to the community. NB: This role is not open to sponsorship.

The Position

As a leader within the team, you will play a pivotal role in providing high-quality care, utilising spacious treatment rooms, emergency facilities, and procedure rooms.

Key Leadership Responsibilities:

  • Lead a collaborative team of healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive and patient-centred care.
  • Conduct patient assessments, including triage, ensuring efficient and effective care delivery.
  • Provide expert nursing leadership, overseeing wound management, vaccinations, health promotion, and chronic disease management.
  • Ensure meticulous documentation of patient records.
  • Spearhead the coordination of health programs, screenings, and immunizations.
  • Champion the implementation of best practice guidelines and drive quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications and Leadership Skills:

  • Registered Nurse qualification with current AHPRA registration.
  • Proven leadership experience in a general practice or primary care setting.
  • Strong clinical acumen, encompassing the ability to perform assessments, manage acute and chronic conditions, and provide impactful patient education.
  • Exceptional communication skills to build rapport with patients, colleagues, and healthcare professionals.
  • Proficient in using medical software systems for documentation and record-keeping.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development.

Tasmanian Family Medical, established in 2017, is a vibrant practice known for its comprehensive range of GP services. Their team of ten doctors, supported by dedicated practice management, practice nurses, and receptionists, delivers exceptional care. The practice is located in a heritage-listed Art Deco building with stunning views of the bay.
