Bothwell is a small strong historic farming community in the Central Highlands with strong rural values and gateway to the stunning beauty and wilderness of the Great Lakes and Central Highlands World Heritage Area of Tasmania.
Bothwell Doctors are looking for an autonomous experienced RN who would like the opportunity to make a tangible difference in a supportive team.
Although less well known than Richmond or Campbell Town, Bothwell Historic Town, with 60 buildings and locations of historic significance, is one of the most important Georgian towns in Tasmania. Beyond its historic significance it is a quiet, pretty agricultural town on the Clyde River. It has a historic golf course and is the gateway to renowned fishing of the Great Lakes and stunning beauty of central Tasmania wilderness.
We are looking for an experienced Primary Care RN. You will be assisted by a highly experienced receptionist who is undertaking her Cert IV in Medical practice assisting. This is a part time position of 2-3 days weekly but with the opportunity for additional hours at a linked practice. No on call or after hours is required.
You will have the chance to build the services needed and become an integral member of the community. You will be working alongside 2 highly experienced GPs and they are highly supportive of upskilling and building your skills to meet the needs of the community.
Bothwell is located 76 km north of Hobart and 350 m above sea level, it is about 60minutes drive from Hobart. There are local ambulance and fire stations together with schooling from Kinder to Grade 10, and a local pharmacy. Accommodation is available in Bothwell at no cost. There are local distilleries and the local Postal Office is up for sale if you might be considering a sea change for the family with additional secure income.
Bothwell Doctors is a compact community minded team serving a scattered yet close knit population. It is managed by a local GP who also runs a Practice in Brighton and sees patients in both clinics providing back up and additional support both medical and nursing. Their focus is on providing local services and building a Practice to continue to help address health inequality in Tasmania.
