Wynyard Medical Centre has recently expanded their physical premises and since then it has been providing a vast variety of medical services including Allied Health. If you are tired of working shift work and weekends, and want to further your career within general practice as an enrolled or registered nurse then there are multiple opportunities available!
The successful candidate will join their experienced team of health care professionals as they work together to meet the growing health care needs of their community.
There are multiple opportunities to join Wynyard Medical Centre. They truly value their staff and are seeking to fill the position due to growth. The nursing team currently consists of two experienced senior registered nurses and two other enrolled nurses.
The following three positions are available:
Senior Registered Nurse(Nurse Co-ordinator)- Minimum 5 years general practice experience plus the following experience - nurse immuniser, general nursing administration, marketing, forecasting, planning & implementing a project and general practice accreditation etc.. This can be a full time or part time role. Remuneration as per Nurses Award 2010. However above award (Nurses Award 2010) remuneration to be considered for the candidate skills demonstrates vast knowledge of skills and GP experience in both clinical and administrative.
Registered Nurse- general practice experience is preferred, but training can be provided if required. Also must hold or be willing to obtain an immunisation certificate. Full time or part time is available. Remuneration as per Nurses Award 2010.
Enrolled Nurse- Full time or part time position. Experience in general practice preferred, but on the job training. Remuneration as per Nurses Award 2010.
Working as an enrolled/ registered nurse at Wynyard Medical Centre there will be a variety of nursing duties including, but not limited to: wound care, ECG’s, blood collection, assisting in minor surgical procedures, triage, health assessments, immunisations for adults as well as children, employment medicals, care planning and chronic disease management. You must also be able to demonstrate excellent interpersonal, organisational, priortisation skills as well as the ability to work as a member of a team to support the general practitioners.
As they use medical software to document patient notes all successful applicants must have sound computer skills.
Current Registration with AHPRA as an enrolled/registered nurse is essential.
The practice is situated in the picturesque North West coastal township of Wynyard in Tasmania, (population 6000).

This is a purpose built practice and all consulting rooms at the practice are fully equipped with the latest technology and equipment.
