Are you on the lookout for a challenging career move? The opportunity for a quality and education manager to join an experienced compliance team doesn’t come up very often…. read on!
Do you have an unconditional passion for the care of aged care residents and community members that receive care? If continuous quality improvement, risk, compliance, and education bring you joy, then this is the role for you!
Toosey Aged and Community Care are seeking to fill a new position within their compliance team to take the lead as the Quality and Education Manager. Previous clinical management experience and a nursing background are preferred, but not essential. Training will be provided, and you will be supported by the existing and experienced team.
This is a list of some of the responsibilities: Training and Development, Audit Management, Quality Assessments, Regulatory compliance – Aged Care Quality standards & National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards & Quality Improvement.
But this role is so much more. The health, well-being and comfort of the residents and others in the community that the 120 staff care for are at the centre of this organisation and your role will be to ensure continuous improvement and quality of the delivery of services in an ever-changing highly regulated industry. Don’t worry about regulating these changes, the teams welcome the improvement and streamlining of procedures and their managers will be the ones monitoring compliance. We need your skills to assess, advise and provide recommendations that ensure the 8 Aged Care Quality Standards are being or exceeded.
Toosey Aged and Community Care are a unique community-owned, not-for-profit organisation with a rich history. They value the quality of care above the bottom line. They provide residential care, respite care, a day centre, and community home care, just to name a few of their services.
With around 120 staff and over 30 AHPRA registered nursing staff the residents receive a level of care well above similar facilities and their outstanding reputation has spread with people coming from far and wide to get the opportunity to live where they know they will be cared for. It really is the type of small community you dream of being a part of.
Staff turnover is extremely low which speaks volumes about the culture, and you don’t only get to know the residents and home care recipients, but all of their families, and your colleagues, and it only builds the culture of wanting to do the best you can to give the organisation your very best.
A generous salary will be negotiated with the successful applicant or up to $105,000 plus 10% Superannuation and salary packaging/ salary sacrifice is available. Professional development is encouraged and supported.
Flexibility is one of their core values and so a flexible work arrangement can be negotiated. Full-time staff is entitled to 1 RDO per month. Unlike the reputation of some aged care facilities, Toosey reflects an organisation that puts the residents at the centre of what they do. With a skilled community board running this facility and all staff being supported by experienced managers and colleagues with the same goal.
We also didn’t mention the location! Longford is a stunning rural town that is just 20 minutes from the Launceston CBD but has all the facilities you need like schools, shops and so many historic estates to explore. This could be the move you have been waiting to make!
