The Position
Sandy Bay Clinic is a privately run, group practice. There are 10 doctors employed at the clinic and they have a vacancy for a full time doctor with an immediate start.
The practice is open from Monday to Friday between the hours of 8am and 6pm and runs a Saturday clinic between 9am and 12pm. Hours are set within these times by negotiation and most doctors work one Saturday in six.
The Sandy Bay Clinic is a member of the Travel Medicine Alliance and offers complex advice to travellers going to, and returning from, some of the world’s most medically risky destinations.
Doctors at the practice offer private and bulk billing.
The Organisation
The practice is located in the heart of the busy Sandy Bay shopping centre and over the years many improvements have been made to the existing building including the addition of an extra reception area to assist the flow of patients.
The clinic employs three nurses, a diabetes educator and a dedicated travel medicine nurse. A dietician and psychologist also visit the clinic to see patients.
The practice is fully computerised and runs very efficiently as the administrative staff are highly skilled and have been working as a team for over five years.
