Do you have an interest in nutritional medicine? Accredited general practice is seeking a VR GP to join them in a full-time or part-time role in Cygnet, in the beautiful Huon Valley of Tasmania.
Cygnet Family Practice (CFP) is an accredited general practice using a patient-centred, team-based, holistic healthcare model. Their health professionals are skilled, enthusiastic and genuine in their patient care, and a wide variety of presentations makes for a rewarding and challenging clinical experience.
The practice is seeking a kind full-time or part-time VR GP to join the team. An interest in nutritional medicine would be an advantage.
The practice is currently open Monday to Friday 8.30 am – 5.00 pm, with plans to open on Saturdays in the near future. This would mean working one Saturday every five weeks. After hours is covered by Healthdirect Australia, so there is no requirement for on-call.
The township of Cygnet is situated in the beautiful Huon Valley, an hour south of Hobart. The eclectic Cygnet community is most welcoming, and passionate about the environment in which they live. Cygnet is a growing community, with a bustling array of lifestyle choices including sailing, sports, music and arts festivals. There is a choice of local public and private schooling from kindergarten to Grade 10.
The clinical team consists of five general practitioners, two nurse practitioners and three practice nurses. Access to local allied health practitioners onsite includes a physiotherapist, diabetes educator, dietitian, podiatrist, psychologist and a child & family health nurse. CFP is fully computerised, using Best Practice clinical software, and provides a mixed billing model.
