The clinic is open 8.30-5.30 Monday to Friday and no after hours or on call is required. After hours care is provided by GP Assist.

Brighton Regional Doctors is located in Brighton which is an easy 25km (and 25min) drive north from the Hobart CBD. It is an area of high growth and one of the three areas in the greater Hobart area planned for population growth over the next few years. There is a population of just over 4000 people in the Brighton Council area, but we cater to patients from a much wider area including a large rural population who may travel up to an hour to visit us. Brighton has the largest primary school in Tasmania and is due to have a brand-new high school in the next couple of years. Our patients are a mix of young and old with the older having a relatively high chronic disease burden.
We are a young but rapidly expanding GP-owned non-corporate clinic. Our focus is on personalised, high quality care and chronic disease/proactive medicine. We have strong ethics and values which we hope you will share and have tried hard to create a workplace where everyone wants to go to work.
As a new clinic we are currently going through accreditation with AGPAL. We are in the process of becoming a training practice for GP trainees and also hosting medical students.
We use Medical Director and integrate with HotDocs for online bookings. We are mixed billing (currently bulk-billing to all under 16 and over 75 year old patients).
Our team includes a highly knowledgeable practice manager and two medical receptionists with almost 100 years of experience between the three of them. together with an enthusiastic practice nurse who is currently doing her diabetic educator training. We are a compact but strong team where everyone’s opinion is listened to.
We offer a competitive remuneration package based on a percentage of earnings, however as a non-corporate small clinic you will also have the chance to be more than just a bum on a seat and help shape the services we offer to our patients. The remuneration package is negotiable based on qualifications and experience (with guaranteed minimum earnings of $100,000 per annum based on working full-time).
In conjunction with the practice, HR+ will organise an orientation program on arrival tailored to the doctor’s needs.
