Exercise Physiologist, Psychologist and Occupational Therapist - Invermay Allied Health (Launceston)

Invermay Allied Health

Location: Northern Tasmania       Occupation: Exercise Physiology, Occupational Therapy, Psychology       Position Type: Casual / Contract / Locum

Would you like to be your own boss, set your own hours, with the added bonus of a huge earning potential? Invermay Allied Health is seeking an Exercise Physiologist, Psychologist and OT to join their team as independent contractors, with the added benefits of a multidisciplinary team and an established company.

The Position

Be your own boss! But with the benefit of still being a part of an amazing team of like-minded, senior allied health professionals. All you need to bring is your expertise, your passion and a phone and laptop would be handy.

You have no other overheads and for essentially a rental arrangement you will receive consult rooms, a well-established brand with an impeccable reputation. On site you will have the use of a hicaps machine, practice management software, wifi and other shared resources like printing oh and of course coffee and the company of an experienced team!

Invermay Allied Health would like to improve access for their clients and so some of the positions currently sought include Exercise Physiology, Psychology and Occupational Therapy. You choose your hours, your caseload and run the clinics you would like to, if that is your thing!

In return you get the benefits listed above, the referrals and no more team meetings….. well there are some voluntary ones that usually involve food and drinks (the office happens to be right near some of Tassie’s best coffee spots).

The Organisation

Invermay Allied Health is an established multidisciplinary allied health practice, seeing predominately paediatric clients with developmental delays and/or disabilities, but they do also work with adults and young adults with disabilities.

They have established themselves as one of the leading providers of multidisciplinary allied health services in Northern Tasmania and have waiting lists that are beyond their current capacity. You would have the opportunity to step into an existing client base whilst growing your own area of expertise.

Given the current climate in Launceston and the lack of allied health services available for their clients they want to be able to offer a bigger suite of services. They have a steady flow of referrals, clients and the space to share.

Their current team includes speech pathology, occupational therapy, clinical psychology, social work and a play therapist.

What's on offer?

Take the leap, don’t hesitate. Now is the right time with services not meeting demand, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference and be well remunerated for your expertise and with no organisational charts, KPI’s or red tape you can really take charge of your own career.

Benefits and perks:

- Freedom to operate as a sole trader, whilst maintaining opportunities to collaborate within a multidisciplinary framework.
- You choose your days and hours
- Attractive remuneration via daily/ weekly room rental fee rather than percentage or commission based model.
- Ability to shape client base to areas of preferred practice and expertise
- Large referral base already outstripping capacity and multiple opportunities for cross referrals within the practice.
- Friendly, supportive and collaborative team atmosphere

Administrative support can be negotiated if required.
