Royal Flying Doctor Service

Location: Southern Tasmania       Occupation: Exercise Physiology, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy       Position Type: Part Time

Would you like to live in one of Tasmania’s most spectacular locations, with a relocation grant of $5000 to help get you there and then get paid for doing what you love? The Position

Responsible for improving health outcomes for people living with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, cardiovascular disease and chronic musculoskeletal conditions, this fantastic opportunity would be perfect for a suitably qualified Exercise Physiologist, physiotherapist, occupational therapist or other health professional that has knowledge and experience working with these conditions.

The benefit of working with an organisation like the Royal Flying Doctor Service is that you will be provided with all the tools, training, and processes needed to succeed in your role. A laptop, iPad, phone and office will be provided for you in their Nubeena office.

This role would suit someone who enjoys being busy, managing their caseloads and administration, is driven working autonomously on a daily basis (there will be no shortage of patients as it is a free service) and you will still have the benefits of a wider team.

This position is a 0.6FTE with flexible work arrangements available. Accreditation or registration with the relevant governing body is also essential.

The Organisation

Working with the Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) Tasmania you will be joining a team of dedicated professionals providing health care to people living and working in rural and remote Australia. The RFDS provide free primary health care services and deliver them directly to community members to meet their needs.

Reporting to the Manager, Primary Health Care and working with the Team Leader Physical and Rural Health this position is part of a greater team in the south, including an exercise physiologist, physiotherapist and Rural Health Worker. You would have the support of this team, with regular staff meetings, access to clinical support/ advice and team professional development opportunities. There is an amazing culture throughout this team of likeminded individuals.

As well as this you will be part of a greater state-wide team of health professionals and a charitable national organisation with an impeccable reputation, synonymous with rural healthcare.

What's on offer?

This role has so much to offer!

Firstly you would be living and working in one of the best locations in Tasmania, with rugged coastlines, endless bushwalking opportunities, national parks and so much to explore, while still only being a 90 minute drive from the capital city of Hobart.

We have already mentioned the great team and the chance to improve health outcomes in this rural community, but you will also be paid a generous salary without all the stress of a private practice or your own business to run. Salary sacrifice, superannuation and holiday leave are all taken care of. There is also the option to access paid professional development or apply for a HR+ Health Workforce Scholarship.

And if you are thinking it is too hard to relocate, well HR+ has a $5000 relocation grant to assist with the costs associated with that!
