Announcement on Exemption Travel Restrictions for Tasmania


The Tasmanian Government has declared a State of Emergency from 12.01am on 21 March 2020 and tougher border restrictions are now in place for people coming into Tasmania.
All Healthcare workers planning to travel to Tasmania for work will need to comply with the restrictions announced and apply for an exemption using the below form. A Fact Sheet is also available below for more information.

This will affect any locum booked in the near future who needs to travel from interstate. If they are still planning to come, they must comply and complete the application for exemption, advising their Practice Manager once this has been confirmed. They also need to ensure that they are aware of the protocols, including the need to self-isolate for 14 days when they arrive in the State if they are unable to get an exemption.

Given the new restrictions, we are planning for a large number of interstate locums will not wish to proceed given the new restrictions and will instead look for other options within their own State or Territory where they can move around more freely. If this is the case, feel free to contact HR+ and we will see if we can find an alternative option for you.

As there are corresponding restrictions on Tasmanian locums planning to work interstate, it is possible that there may be locums based locally who are looking for work here. We are in the process of trying to establish if this is true, and we are happy to put you in contact with anyone who expresses an interest in working in their own backyard.

COVID-19: Update on HR+ Services & Programs


At HR+ we have implemented some necessary changes to our operations to align with the COVID-19 situation currently affecting many Tasmanian's. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 situation and upon recent announcements by the Australian Government, please be advised that from Wednesday, 25 March 2020, the HR+ office will be closed to all staff and visitors.

This measure is to ensure the health and wellbeing of all staff and visitors.

Our team will be working from home and still have access to emails & phone calls as per usual. The overall business will continue to operate as per usual, where possible. Our office phones have been diverted to mobile phones and our team are available during this time. If you need to contact us, please continue to do so on our office number 03 6332 8600.

The HR+ team will not be participating in any face to face meetings, workshops, events, or attending conferences until further notice.

All HR+ events have been cancelled until further notice. We will be reassessing these at a later date and will be in contact with those that had previously expressed interest. Please stay tuned for more information.

HR+ will continue to provide business updates as they come to hand through our website and social media channels.

Apart from that, it's still business as usual!
